Batik in Taiwan.
Hello everyone.
so i'm now sitting in the best corner ever in Eslite cafe writing this post.
a very one fine afternoon.
definitely enjoying the sun, the cake and the life i love.
About Batik.
since I've been living in taiwan for so long, the people i met nowadays they known me as Taiwanese with a very difficult name to pronounce. ( for Taiwanese they cannot pronounce Francisca. Damn)
and i don't always do a long introduction about myself so when they found out i can speak indonesian that is exactly when i need to explain everything all over again or to explain nothing at all. But i love Indonesia and i don't want my Indonesian friends to hate me tho so i wouldn't say Yup, i'm from Taiwan.
i was born in Taiwan and raised in Indonesia. my mom is Taiwanese and my dad is Indonesian. We moved to Indonesia when i was 9. before that, we moved back and forth from Taiwan to Indonesia because my mom hated there haha.
I even studied a year in Taiwan sitting in primary. It was a pleasant memory. Then my parents decided to moved back to Indonesia to have a stable life.
and then when i came back again to Taiwan i was old enough already to live alone that it is when i was in university and so on and so on.
So,yesterday hahaha ( a bit late post ) was a national indonesia batik day. if you check on my instagram i posted it there too on the exact date.
i feel like i need to keep the indonesian spirit eventho i'm in Taiwan now.
it is my first time wearing Batik on the street like this.
if you don't know what is Batik simply search for Batik Indonesia on google or you can also check on youtube for " Batik Negeriku".
what do you think about my Batik? there's a lot of different motif and color you can choose.
